A board certified physician assistant (PA-C), Mr. Amundson is a graduate of Finch University of Health Sciences/University of Chicago Medical School, a National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) accredited program with an emphasis on general surgery, trauma, orthopaedics, emergency medicine and general medicine.
Prior to joining Hinsdale Orthopaedics in 2005, Mr. Amundson held a Physician Assistant position with Regions Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota where he worked in orthopaedic trauma and sports medicine. He has over six years of experience working with both trauma and sports medicine injuries. His experience and interest in sports medicine stemmed from his undergraduate athletic training experience and his subsequent training in Indiana University's Physiology Department.
