October 22 - Hinsdale, IL - Across the developing world, advanced joint disease plagues great numbers of disadvantaged people in impoverished communities. Dr. William J. Gilligan, of Hinsdale Orthopaedics, will be working with Operation Walk Chicago in Kathmandu, Nepal from November 7-19.
While in Nepal, Dr. Gilligan and the Operation Walk Chicago team will perform 30 knee replacement surgeries. Knee and hip replacements are among the most cost-effective medical procedures for patients living with joint disease disabilities.
