Staff Physician Assistant for Dr. Schiffman
Brianna L. Hirsch PA-C, BSN, MMS is a licensed Physician Assistant and Registered Nurse. She is able to practice medicine and prescribemost medications in the state of Illinois. Brianna assists Dr. Schiffman in surgery as well as all aspects of patient care in the office setting. She comes to Hinsdale Orthopaedics after participating in a 12-month orthopedic physician assistant residency program with Illinois Bone and Joint at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, IL. She has special training in orthopedic trauma and hand surgery.
Brianna graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. After nursing school, she decided to continue her education at the John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County/Malcolm X College Physician Assistant Program, an NCCPA accredited program in downtown Chicago. She graduated as the valedictorian and earned a Masters of Medical Science degree. Her master's thesis was entitled: "Prevention of Overuse, Stress Injuries and Burnout in Little League Pitchers."
Brianna is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopedics as well as the Illinois Academy of Physician Assistants.
Brianna grew up in the northern suburbs of Chicago and is happy to be working in the Chicago area.
