Dr. Templin has advanced training in the operative and non-operative treatment of spinal disorders involving the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine as well as the neck and back. Dr Templin's experience in traditional spinal techniques and minimally invasive advanced spinal techniques allows his patients to explore various treatment options to determine which best fit their condition.
A member of the Hinsdale Orthopaedics spinal surgery staff since 2007, Dr. Templin finished his internship and orthopaedic surgery residency at Northwestern University. Dr. Templin completed his spine surgery fellowship training at the University of California, San Diego. He is board certified in orthopaedic surgery and spinal surgery.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Templin is a noted author and researcher in the fields of orthopaedic and spinal surgery, publishing spine-related research publications and text books. He is a dedicated member of professional societies committed to his field, such as the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the North American Spine Society, the Society for Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery and the American Orthopaedic Association.
