Injured Workers Clinic

For patients injured at work.

As part of Hinsdale Orthopaedics' commitment to offer complete and quality healthcare for the injured workers of the Chicagoland community, the physicians and staff offer a Worker's Compensation Injury Clinic. The clinic was established to manage orthopaedic injuries sustained at the workplace. The goal is to provide a system to take a detailed history and physical examination, to document the injury and causal factors, to establish a definitive diagnosis and to initiate early treatment so that the worker can return to his/her employment quickly. The clinic provides full service care with the ability to conduct XR's, MRI's as well as Independent Medical Evaluations.

Many of the physicians at Hinsdale Orthopaedics have extensive experience treating and managing work-related injuries to the shoulder, elbow, knee and ankle and continue to speak, teach and conduct research in these areas of interest. As specialists, they can offer a definitive (expert) opinion and/or treatment regarding the injury.

Prior to being seen in the office, it is imperative that the following information be present and available to the physicians and staff:

• Employer name, address, phone and fax numbers
• Referring physician, lawyer, nurse name, address, phone and fax numbers
• Driver's license
• Previous medical evaluations for present injury
• Clinic visits progress notes
• Operative notes
• Physical Therapy notes
• X-ray, MRI, CT, Bone scan films and reports

You can be assured that you will be treated as an individual with your occupational and personal needs in mind. The time to return to work is different for each person and each orthopaedic injury. During your treatment, your physician will discuss with you the timing for your return to work and will make certain that you return when it is safe and appropriate. Hinsdale Orthopaedics feels that you are the athletes of the work force who need to be restored to as close to 100% as possible so that you can return to work as soon as possible and maintain your livelihood.
