Staff Physician Assistant for Dr. Louis
Katelyn O'Connell, MS, PA-C is a board certified Physician Assistant and is licensed to practice medicine as well as prescribe most medicines in the state of Illinois. She works directly with Dr. Louis in the operating room, hospital and clinical settings. She works within the physician's guidelines and protocols and is in constant communication with Dr. Louis regarding the care of the patient.
Ms. O'Connell received extensive PA-C training from Finch University of Health Sciences, an NCCPA accredited university in North Chicago, Illinois. Following completion of her degree, she worked as a Physician Assistant in Total Joint Replacement, Spine Surgery and General Orthopedic Care. Since her employment at Hinsdale Orthopaedics in 2006 she has specialized in orthopaedic trauma, nonunion repairs and total joint replacements. An active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Illinois Academy of Physician Assistants, she keeps current with new and innovative techniques in orthopaedics and the Physician Assistant field.
