Diagnosis
The correct diagnosis is vitally important in determining appropriate treatment for shoulder disorders. Because the shoulder permits a large range of movement it is central to most daily activities and therefore susceptible to many different types of injury. Using state-of-the-art technology, the surgeons at the Hinsdale Orthopaedics do a comprehensive evaluation and take a systematic approach to arrive at an accurate diagnosis. This process may include:
- A specialized clinical exam by one of our expert shoulder surgeons
- Use of specific new X-ray views designed especially for the shoulder
- A specialized MRI for pre-arthritic and arthritic shoulder conditions
- Additional diagnostic testing to confirm the diagnosis
